Computer Centre

The NUJS Computer Centre has been commissioned on 13 Feb. 2012 by Prof. Dr P. Ishwara Bhat, Vice-Chancellor.

Housed in the NUJS Library, the Centre consists of 3 rooms in the first floor, above the Library Hall. Entry to and exit from Room Nos. 112 & 113 are the Library.

The computing facility is as follows: One server (supporting 40 thin clients), and 35 stand-alone machines.

  • How to use thin clients:
Locate the User ID (eg. ‘user7’) on the LHS top, double click on it and the normal windows screen will appear. [Ignore the window]

A thin client on sleeping mode may ask for the password. The UserID will double up as the password.

The facility to copy files to external devices like pendrive is available.

To power off the client, use the hp start button (LHS bottom corner)

  • The Computer Centre is open from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm (Monday – Friday).

The Centre is set up with financial assistance from the UGC .
